Contacting Yahoogroups
If you're in the US, here's the contact info for Yahoogroups:
Yahoo! Inc.
701 First Avenue
Sunnyvale, California 94089
Phone (408) 349-3300
Fax (408) 349-3301
Office Hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST
But it's difficult to get a human being. If you tell them you're asking about Yahoo*groups*, you'll most likely get told they don't offer support for free services. Instead try addressing it as a problem with your Yahoo ID or Yahoo mail first, then bring up the groups problem.
And if this info's out of date, it's always available at the Yahoo website, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on Company Info, then click on Addresses.
If you're in the UK, here are some UK contact details, all with human beings.
Yahoo! UK Ltd
10 Ebury Bridge Road
London
SW1W 8PZ
tel 020 7808 4200
fax 020 7808 4203
If this info is out of date, visit the Yahoo UK website, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on Company Info, then click on Addresses.
I'm not sure if this phone number still works, but if you're in the UK, it's definitely worth a try, the UK support department seems to be much more helpful than its US counterpart.
Customer Care: 020 7808 4444
(Office hours 10am-5pm - Monday to Friday)
Thanks to Marina for posting the UK info.
Last updated on December 26, 2003 05:59 PMI am group moderator and I have noticed that the Daily Digest being sent to members are nesting previous Digests within them.
How do we correct this problem?
Posted by: Karen Welsh(Bragonier) at July 6, 2004 10:03 AMSounds like your list members are replying to a digest and leaving the entire quoted digest in their reply and then someone else replies to the digest with the quoted digest and leaves in the quoted digest with the quoted digest and so on and so on.
The way to solve this problem is to educate your list members about deleting quoted text - for list members who put their replies at the top of their post, they'll need to scroll down and see what's there - many people simply put in their reply and hit Send without ever looking below.
You may find this part of the FAQ useful in educating your list members:
Should I quote the entire email or digest I'm replying to?

The only other solution would be to moderate the list members who do this (or moderate your entire list) and edit their replies to delete all the excess quoted text before approving the posts.
Posted by: texas critter at July 6, 2004 11:46 AMI'm in a yahoo group and our photo section is locked. Our Moderator/Owner has forgotten her old password and is unable to fix the problem. We have emailed support with no help.
Will the above contact information help us to resolve the problem? Is there any other way to get into the photo section to clean out some photos? We really would like to recover all the old photos in the photo section.
Thank you.
